The Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) Programs are state-funded programs housed within Sacramento County Public Health. The mission of the MCAH programs is to assure that all women of childbearing age, adolescents, children, and infants have access to quality health services, particularly those that reduce the incidence of low birth weight and premature delivery, maternal and infant mortality, and incidence of preventable diseases and handicapping conditions among children.
